Tonight's event marks the launching of Abdullah Ahmad Badawi: Revivalist
of an Intellectual Tradition, written by Dr. Syed Ali Tawfik al-Attas
and Dato' Ng Tieh Chuan. Not only does this study attempt to trace
the ancestral roots of Malaysia's fifth Prime Minister, it aims to
elucidate the moreesoteric ideas couched in the latter's now famous
poetic composition, In Search of Everlasting Peace.

discussed the finer details of civilisational Islam with Dr Syed Ali
